Exchange Student Program

 

Application

Hanyang accepts applications for the exchange student program only if the student is officially nominated by the partner university. After receiving the nomination, application instructions are sent to the nominated students directly from Hanyang’s Office of International Affairs (OIA). The schedule below is tentative and subject to change depending on the level of response to COVID-19 and the related policies of the government.

Qualification

1) Must be officially nominated by home institution through Hanyang’s online survey
2) Must complete at least one (1) semester by the time of nomination
3) Minimum Cumulative GPA must be over 60% using home university grading system

4) Language Proficiency (Korean or English)

English CEFR B2 (IELTS 5.5, TOEIC 785, IBT 72, ITP 543 etc.)

* Exception: Korean Citizenship holders or Students studying at a university in following countries: US, Canada (except Quebec), UK, Australia, Iceland, New Zealand

 

 

Required Documents

Once the application period begins, all applicants will be required to create a Hanyang online account to complete the application form in the online application system. Please note we only accept all documents written in English.

 
1) Color ID Photo Colored copy, Face only, JPEG format, 20KB or less
2) Passport Passports should be valid for 6 months or longer from the end date of program
e.g.)
- Spring 2021 applicant (1 semester): valid until December 20, 2021
- Spring 2021 applicant (2 semesters): valid until June 21, 2022
3) Official Academic Transcripts Transcripts should include student’s university logo and official stamp, and show all semesters the applicant has completed. (Showing CGPA, if possible)
4) Language Proficiency Form DOWNLOAD (Click)
5) Financial Affidavit DOWNLOAD (Click)
6) Health Insurance Certificate The certificate should indicate the following:
- Applicant as the beneficiary
- Coverage (International travel and medical expenses in Korea)
- Effective Date (Valid during the entire stay in Korea
